LAZAREVAC - PALILULA MUNICIPALITIES COOPERATION ESTABLISHED

During 30 Assembly meeting of Lazarevac Municipality, the councilors adopted the Decision of establishing cooperation of Lazarevac Municipality with Palilula Municipality from Nis. This decision came as the result of good cooperation of our two municipalities with the partners from Project Centre of the City of Nis during the implementation of the project `Establishing project center for sustainable development, elaboration and implementation of the projects according to EU standards`.

Branko Boric, president of Lazarevac Municipality, while addressing to the councilors emphasized that during this project and joint work between the representatives of these two municipalities the excellent cooperation has been established on professional level but also friendly relationship relations. President Boric also during his addressing emphasized that the cooperation of Palilula Municipality for their municipality is important also from the aspect of common struggles for the improvement of city municipalities position in relation to higher level of authorities.

`We, also, as our colleagues from Nis, are not satisfied with the status that our two municipalities have in relation to the City of Belgrade and City of Nis. That is why we hope that by exchanging experience and so far achievements we will succeed for making better the position of city municipalities, and over the partner relation we will make easier the presentation towards other partners both in Serbia and abroad, said Boric and during that moment he expressed the expectations that Palilula and Lazarevac in future with their common and joint participation on the projects will attract financial resources that will be available in the moment.

Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Palilula Assembly and Bojan Ilic, head of Municipal Administration were present during the Assembly session. President Djurdjevic addressed the councilors of Lazarevac and during that speech confirmed once more that the biggest contribution of future cooperation with Lazarevac Municipality is the joint work and partnership on the elaboration and project implementation.

Djurdjevic also emphasized as the biggest success the coming of bigger resources from various funds and sources in relation to the finance amount of Palilula Municipality from the budget of the City of Nis. `I think that this sort of cooperation is very significant first of all for our citizens especially when the cooperation of our project centers is in the focus of intention, since in that way we are creating possibilities that with joint participation attract more money so that our citizens will be provided better lives`, concluded Milan Djurdjevic.

During the beginning of this week, the Decision on establishing cooperation of Palilula and Lazarevac municipalities the Assembly of Palilula also adopted.
